A well established country village pub, pre-dating the Trent and Mersey canal with a warm and friendly welcome for all. The pub is situated directly on the canal at bridge 58, with easy access from the canal for boaters and walkers. It remains one of the few unspoilt village hostelries nestling in glorious countryside in southern Staffordshire a roaring log fire in the winter & colder nights, traditional ales and delicious food using the best local produce awaits you. We take great pride in our approach to the food served and our friendly service. We are proud of our relationship with our suppliers, our entire menu is sourced responsibly & where possible locally. Families and well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome. There is ample car parking, and a large canal side beer garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine, a pint of Real Ale or a coffee and watch the boats go by on a lazy sunny afternoon.
