Visited at 4pm yesterday. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant/ bar. We started with coffees. They were served in filthy cups. Not a good start. We waited 35mins for the main course. We had to ask when we were going to be served. We did get an apology. My fish looked as if it had come out of the local frozen food shop, being 75% batter and the fish meat was tasteless. We waited a further 20mins for dessert, needing to prompt the waitress again that we were ready. The chocolate fudge cake was really nice but for £3.99 it was half the size of the portions offered at pubs in Killingworth Village for only 50p more. Will definitely not be visiting again. I do wonder how this pub has a food hygiene certificate!!!
