    Description
A Beautiful 17th Century Thatched pub set in the rural village of Carlton.
Well known for our summer floral displays of spectacular hanging baskets our garden provides an ideal place to relax with a drink or even a lovely setting for dining "al fresco"
Inside a warm welcome always awaits you at The Fox Inn, sample our real ales often from local micro breweries, chill out with a glass of fine wine or entertain friends in the cosy restaurant.
Perfect for popping in for a pint and a gossip after a hike in the countryside, a quick snack lunch or the full works from our a la carte menu.

All types of function and occasion can be catered for

The meal was excellent; a Burns Night suggestion of haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky gravy was the tastiest we have had and homemade treacle tart and lemon meringue pie were outstanding. We chose a delicious Macon from a limited but very fairly priced wine list. Our waitress appeared to be managing the bar as well as waiting at table, hence a slowish service . Rather basic decor and stark lighting could be improved upon. We will definitely return and recommend.
