A couple of friends and I dropped into the pub on Wednesday and decided that a meal with all the trimmings would help the evening along. We were shown to a spacious, well appointed and clean dining room that felt very welcoming & comfortable, though there were not many in there was a warm atmosphere that was helped by the pleasant and friendly staff that were willing and helpful when required. We examined the extensive "international" printed menu and were equally impressed with the list of "specials" available on the day. Overall the meals were excellent, well presented and served by efficient and friendly staff. I thought some items on the menu were a little expensive but I cannot judge them for value as I did not order any of these. I will definately go there again as will my friends and we have no hesitation in pointing others in this direction. A thoroughly enjoyable evening helped along with good food and hospitable service... try it for yourself.

Found this place when taking the coastal road to Barrow, very glad I did, found it on a Friday were it was two steaks and a bottle of wine free.. yes I thought some chatue plonko but there was a choice of 5 wines. We went for the merlot, chilean but a very nice drop, was impressed that much we went for Sunday lunch, choice of two meats that come on the biggest plates I have ever seen in a pub, homemade yorkie and proper gravy, all the dish was cooked great, missed the pud of the day even thou it was only £1.50. Great staff, very friendly. Good service even thou it was very, very busy, will be back one of the best unbranded pubs I have been in, *****
