The pub presents a modest face to the road but the food that comes out of the kitchen of Dominique's restaurant is anything but modest. The choice of starters is wide and varied with the most expensive (at £8.50) being the Salad Dominique which includes a taster of almost every starter on the menu, and it is excellent value. There is a great range of main courses, both fish and meat, and the one's we tried (duck & guinea fowl) were perfectly cooked. The choices for dessert are, again, many and all are very tempting but - if you have room - there is a taster plate of most of the other desserts on the menu. All in all, a great place to eat andalthough it is not the cheapest the quality of the produce and cooking makes it great value - a place not to be missed

The food is excellent - not cheap but well worth it - the main restaurant - Dominiques - is wonderful. Usually a couple of good real ales and lovely people.
