We found this small country pub after a glowing recommendation early last year, and we've visited regularly since then. Good cask ales are served and the Sunday lunch is excellent, if you can manage three courses you're a hero. A lot of places disguise a lack of quality of the ingredients and cooking with quantity, but this is not one of them. The food is fresh, well cooked and well presented. They know the secret, they're doing the simple things perfectly.

I have recently moved into the area and this pub is an absolute gem. Not only was I made weldcome by the landord/lady but the regulars made me feel welcome. The food is amazing and portion sizes are huge... ladies dont let the outside loo scare you as it is lovely and clean and heated :O) jI would recommend this pub to anyone who is looking for a traditional pub that serves great food at a great price with lovely staff and customers...
