The Vats bar is fantastic, with giant empty beer vats to sit in. They serve a good range of handmade pizzas, which are the best in Kendal. Great events at nights, with a very popular (if not really hard) quiz on a Monday night. Food: Great. Service: quick! even when busy! Price: a bit on the pricy side for drinks but the pizzas are reasonable for what you get. Baring in mind it is Kendal. Overall a good place to eat.

Whenever I'm out in Kendal shopping I call in here for a quick lunch. A lovely atmosphere, and you can easily lose an hour after eating walking round looking at the exhibitions. The Vat Bar is one of a kind. Sit in big empty beer vats, great fun. A very popular spot at night.
